Indian Airforce Recruitment via Agnipath Scheme

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the Agniveervayu Intake 01/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme, inviting online applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates.

Key Dates:

• Online Registration: Opens at 11:00 AM on January 7, 2025, and closes at 11:00 PM on January 27, 2025.

• Online Examination: Commences from March 22, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Age: Candidates born between January 1, 2005, and July 1, 2008 (inclusive) are eligible. The upper age limit as of the enrollment date is 21 years.

• Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible. They must commit not to marry during the four-year engagement period. Female candidates must also agree not to become pregnant during this time.

• Educational Qualifications:

  • For Science Subjects:

    • Passed Intermediate/10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.

    • Or, completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English (in Diploma or Intermediate/Matriculation if English wasn’t a subject in Diploma).

    • Or, passed a two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics, achieving 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English (in Vocational Course or Intermediate/Matriculation if English wasn’t a subject in Vocational Course).

  • For Other than Science Subjects:

    • Passed Intermediate/10+2 in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.

    • Or, completed a two-year Vocational Course with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English (in Vocational Course or Intermediate/Matriculation if English wasn’t a subject in Vocational Course).

Selection Process:

• The selection test is scheduled to begin on March 22, 2025.

• This examination is exclusively for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2026 and does not pertain to selection as Commissioned Officers, Pilots, Navigators, or Airmen.

Important Notes:

• Candidates are advised to register early, as registration dates will not be extended.

• Only online registered applications will be accepted.

• The number and employability of female candidates will be determined based on service requirements.
